Storm Aviation receives EASA Approval for A330 Base Maintenance at Glasgow-Prestwick

Storm Aviation Ltd, an international line, light and base maintenance provider, and part of FL Technics Group,  one of the largest MRO’s in Europe, has received EASA Part 145 approval for base maintenance of Airbus A330 aircraft at its Glasgow-Prestwick (PIK) hangar.

“The Airbus A330 is the second most-delivered wide-body airliner in the world, and being able to provide base maintenance services for this airframe gives us a competitive advantage,” said Thomas Buckley, CEO at Storm Aviation. “Thanks to this expansion of our service portfolio, we can serve a broader range of operators and leasing companies looking for a strategically located, EASA-certified maintenance partner in the UK.”

The company’s Prestwick facility is equipped to handle heavy checks, lease return transitions, and complex structural work on the A330. In addition to that, the hangar offers slot availability options to suit clients’ needs along with competitive turnaround times. Other types of aircraft serviced at the hangar include the A320 family, B737, and B787.
